Testing the Allergy after an NAET Distant Allergy Healing You need only to wait for twenty-five hours after an NAET distant allergy healing before you test the allergen. You do not need to avoid the allergen during this time although you may be more comfortable doing so. If you reacted in the past to this substance you will probably react during the twenty-five hours following the NAET distant allergy healing if exposed. You will not, however, fail the treatment due to exposure during this waiting period. Before your NAET distant allergy healing, you may not even be aware that you were allergic to this substance, or if you were, you may not have noticed any specific effect it caused. In this case it will be difficult to test the allergy after the NAET distant allergy healing. This is not cause for concern. Just understand that by permanently eliminating the allergy through NAET distant allergy healing, you have at the very least taken a load off of your immune system and created the basis for clearing other allergies. You should expose yourself to the allergen in any case to challenge it. If you notice any adverse effects, report them to me. So twenty-five hours after your NAET distant allergy healing you are ready to test the allergen by exposing yourself to it. You may do this by either eating some of the allergen in the case of foods, breathing or touching it in the case of an environmental allergy, or just holding it in your hand in either case. Do so in very small amounts at first to see if you react. Give yourself time to react before increasing exposure. IF THE ALLERGIC RESPONSE TO THIS SUBSTANCE HAS BEEN VERY SEVERE IN THE PAST, BE PREPARED TO TAKE WHATEVER STEPS ARE NECESSARY TO RELIEVE THE ALLERGIC RESPONSE IN CASE YOU REACT TO THE TEST. This means having close at hand any drugs, inhalers, or epi kits you may need. Make sure they are nearby BEFORE you test the allergen. If you sufer from anaphylaxis, you may want to test in a doctor's office. A good way to test in this case is to hold the allergen in your hand for a few minutes. If you notice a reaction, immediately take the allergen out of your hand, wash your hands and notify me of your response. Do not test the allergen further at this time. If no reaction is present after a few minute's exposure, put the allergen down for an additional few minutes and repeat the process three or four times. If no reaction is noticed throughout these repeated trials, you may then--in the case of foods--place a small amount of the allergen in your mouth. Then try chewing and at last swallowing it. Remain very attentive for awhile in case you have a delayed reaction. Try to isolate the exposure. In the case of foods, eat them by themselves between meals. Also try to eat only the substance treated. When you are testing milk, for example, drink milk. Don't test milk by eating ice cream. And don't test cheese by eating pizza. Environmental allergies are sometimes more difficult to isolate, but do the best you can. If you do have an allergic response, don't be discouraged. Some NAET distant allergy healings may have to be repeated before the allergy is completely cleared. After the allergy is eliminated, you may notice an incremental improvement (the usual response), a sudden, big improvement, or sometimes nothing at all for awhile. Whatever the response, rest assured your NAET distant healings are having a profound positive effect on the state of your health. And don't forget to keep me informed of the nature of your reaction (including no detectable reaction) after your NAET distant healing. |
