How I Use a Pendulum and How You Can Too
Pendulum testing, like any other kind of testing, usually requires practice for accuracy, although some individuals seem to become effective right away. There are several ways of using one, but I will tell you mine: hold the pendulum by the string with your hand even with your forehead and the pendulum weight swinging six to eight inches below.
Always ask questions which can be answered "yes" or "no" only, but first find out what your pendulum will do to indicate a "yes" or "no." It will usually swing back-and-forth for "yes" and side-to-side for "no." Sometimes the pendulum swings in a circle, one way for a "yes" and the other direction for "no.". Any motion is OK, though, as long as the "yes" and "no" motions are different from each other.
Begin by asking questions that you already know the answer to. For practice, continue asking these type questions in order to determine how well you are doing. Once you are getting fairly consistently correct answers, try asking questions you don't know the answer to, but can readily determine, such as answers that you can find in an encyclopedia.
A few tips:
Don't be discouraged if at first your answers are wrong. Keep practicing and you will get better.
The most important tip: no matter how important the question or how much you desire a certain answer, cultivate an attitude of indifference to whatever the answer may be. It is best to avoid emotionally charged questions until you are fairly proficient.
Forget about predicting the future. It won't work.
As for where to find pendulums, you might try your local psychic related book store. Sometimes health food stores have, or know where to find, them.
The word "pendulum" in a search engine should yield mail order sources. I have never bought one myself. I usually take a length of string and a socket from a socket wrench set and make one. They work just fine.
A piece of string and a washer or screw-on nut should work as well. Some people feel they must have a crystal on a gold chain or something similar. It really doesn't matter as long what you use works for you.
I would suggest that anyone with allergies test substances for sensitivity before exposure. This will help keep you out trouble whether or not you are undergoing NAET distant allergy healing treatments. You will soon find that you don't mind if people look at you strangely (they will!) when you use your pendulum in a restaurant or supermarket.
If you are doing NAET distant allergy healings, you will find that, over time, you will not need to use your pendulum to test foods nearly as much as you did when you began. Beyond testing for allergies, what you use your pendulum for is limited only by your imagination.
Good luck. And remember; practice, practice, practice.
